i won't make it (poem)

youre a beauty in this disgusting, filthy world 

a gorgeous, beautiful, intelligent girl 

grow wings, fly away, get the freedom you deserve 

i'll be cheering you on, aphrodite, until the world ceases to turn

your ambition and your drive is way ahead of its time 

you're going to go so far, i wish i could be there to see you shine 

but i won't make it, my love, i can't be there for you 

so this is my unknown goodbye 

you speak of the future with such hope 

i can see a light in your eyes, despite the darkness around 

i'm so proud of you! you've got it, you'll have it all! 

you're so strong, youre able to get up when you fall 

i know it, i see it, i wholeheartedly believe it

i'm so sad i won't be around to see it 

i won't make it 

i am weak and unable to take it 

i am a monster, i am a liar 

i am a mistake and i'm very tired 

i am inhuman, i am a devil 

each word coming out of that mouth of yours is enough to make me tremble 

you say you know i'm false, you say you don't believe me 

i'll assure you again and again until the end of time, maybe 

i'll prove it over and over again until you finally see 

so just give up, nobody will ever truly get to know me 

wouldn't it be so much better to just let it go and let me be?
