A few minutes ago, my mom, my brothers, and I stopped by a Walmart last minute to buy backpacks for school. As we were walking in, my mom noticed this ICE agent following RIGHT BEHIND US. He had a walkie-talkie or something like that and he was speaking into it as he stared at us. I couldn’t make out the words since I had my headphones on. Thankfully, he suddenly walked off and left us alone. That is the most terrified I’ve ever been walking into a goddamn Walmart. I genuinely thought that he was going to try to detain us or something. From the way he looked, he was sure as hell planning on it.
The fact that nowadays I have to fear whether I or any of my family will be taken away just because of our ethnicity is crazy as hell. Nobody should have to have a fear of something like that happening. It’s fucking sick. This is the reason majority of us Hispanics won’t even go out anymore and are scared to even leave our homes. Stupid, scary shit like this is happening.
Fuck Trump and fuck ICE.
(Edit: usually I try not to bring up any negative stuff like this too often, especially online when I'm trying to portray a more positive version of myself whenever I can. I just really wanted to talk about this because it was such an experience for me and it needs to be talked about much more. Thanks for all of the well wishes, it's made me feel a lot better <3)

First of all, I really don't like seeing politics being talked about here because for some reason it's just quite sensitive and really spreads toxicity here just like what's happening in Facebook and Major Social Network Websites.
I had a blogpost write up mentioning this.
If this is true then maybe that agent was kinda trying to locate someone and he left because he identified that you guys aren't what they're looking for.
I feel sad for you that you had to go through it and glad you guys are okay.
