I'd never hurt you*

Hear me out? 

It's a claim that is made in good faith at times. An entirely nonsensical term based on how impossible it would be to actually achieve such a feat. 

Will you NEVER hurt me? You'll never say something that hurts? Will you never forget? Will you never project? Will you never ignore? Will you never get tired? 

Pain is unavoidable. 

The nurse doesn't watch a man bleed out in his comfortable haze, saying 'it'll be okay' because they claimed to "never hurt them". 

Sometimes you have to press down on a wound to stop the blade from merging further into flesh. 

Helping with stings, recovery aches, and healing swells. Even if you don't feel flesh stitching itself back together over and over, it hurts.
