...just read an anecdote about Keith Moon getting a stagehand to fill his kick drum, or something to that effect, up with gunpowder and then detonating it during a show. To paraphrase Norm: "the more I hear about this Keith Moon fella, the more I don't care for him." At least, I think Norm said that. I don't remember where I heard it from.
...so supposedly people are mad at Curry Barker because he said that The Thing was timeless? The hell? I get that maybe he used some poor phrasing but his message, as far as I know, was pretty clear. Anyway, The Thing is a classic that has defiantly stood the test of time. If you disagree, you're...I dunno. Think of something really nasty. Fill in the blank and whatnot.
...today in "Writing About How There's Nothing to Write About": same story, will probably be the same story unless something huge happens. And now that I've written that down something is just bound to happen that will either a) mildly inconvenience and/or irritate me or b) screw me over, in some form. Meh. Either way the next blog post is probably going to be another collection of album reviews. If I remember to post it, that is.

...now listening: "Bilboa" by Ween. "The Pod" is perhaps Ween's most divisive and dissonant album. This is a tape full of outtakes from that album. You can guess how fucked-up they are. It is Ween at their objectively brownest point. A friend put on this tape as background filler once and then told me he had to turn it off after 10 minutes because it was beginning to give him a splitting headache. The same thing happens to me, except it's a beautiful headache.
