literally everyone tells me ts as if him coming home late as hell, fully drunk and beating up my mom jst bc she asked to act like a father for once (plus infront of me and my sis) is something easy to forgive.
Literally the most vivid memory i have of them together is them arguing in the kitchen, him smashing on the table a bunch of keys and me tryng to get them all from the floor cus i was scared my dog would eat them and now jst bc its been a lot of time family members and even MY MOM asks me to let that go and give him another chance (i was 7/8 at the time btw)
Plus forgiving him would imply a change in his behaviour but nope, he just stopped w my mom and started being super aggressive w my grandparents who also let him live in their house cuz he cant even handle his shit alone.
He never did anything to me and my sis and for that now he wants to restart and be a real father but bitch you had your chance and you gave zero fucks now theres no way im changing my mind
And the people that cant live w the fact i didnt move on are as idiotic as he is
(Now i just use him for the things i want and have zero regret for it💪)

I completely relate to this OMG
I've always deeply felt annoyed when people said this. Because just because you happen to be related does not mean you have to automatically respect them? Some people genuinely just refuse to change time and time again so why do we have to owe them our respect just because they happen to share your last name. It's so irritating when people try to convince you otherwise because they do not understand how painful it is to have to live with somebody like this
