Joy and whimsy

It's been a while! (I say to nobody) but how are you doing? I wanted to write something online, just feelings, thoughts, it helps articulate them more. So my subject is whimsy.

It sounds really silly, I know, that's because it is, and I am, but we shouldn't care. We all let people take joy or fun away from us sometimes, even if they don't do it voluntarily, and it can't be avoided, but we can be aware of it. I see so many people hide who they are and I just get this sense of hopelessness because-- why? Some people just said that the real them is terrible, and I'm not going to say that's ok, but it shouldn't be hid. Okay, you're terrible, you've acknowledged that, so let the people who want to look deeper into how "bad" you are find you, find your people. There's this girl in my school, beautiful hair, pretty piercings, great lashes, thin, everything I would want to be if I weren't me, but I talk to her sometimes and I know it isn't her. She doesn't like the bands of her group, she doesn't like the way they dress on herself, she doesn't like the way they do their hair, so much. This isn't to say she dislikes them as people, but she would dislike to be that person, right? So why become it? Why hate yourself? Her friends ARE good people, their way of doing things isn't wrong, its just not her way, and that's ok. Nobody has to fit in. But the fear of standing out just makes us all shimmy into one box until there's no space and we just can't fit. What I'm saying is, standing out isn't bad, and if we just accepted it, nobody would stand out anymore because it would be normal to just be them.

I know I'm naive, sorry.

Please please please be you, learn to like you.

Here's the layout!!
