I’ve had a permit for 5 months and I’m already getting a summons for jury duty. I know it’s like my civic duty or whatever but seriously I’ve been 18 for 5 months.
Edit - I have to get up at 8am

Oof good luck bro, sounds like a pain. I kinda wanna be summoned for jury duty tho but I'm a bit of a nerd when it comes to the justice system lol. Let us know how it goes.

do people in the usa get summoned for jury duty very often?
Not really some people can go their entire life's without being summoned, while others can be summoned multiple times. There has also been funny mistakes where they summoned a dead person because their records are not correct or a baby for the same reason. But it is illegal not to show up for a summons but you can be exempt if you have a baby or are related to law enforcement/ government official/
