just yapping tbh

Perhaps nostalgia is so heavy on us because we long for a time of being unaware. As children, we weren't apart of the adult conversations. We didn't know of the darkness in this world. And then we got older and became aware and want to return to that lack of awareness just for a moment, to feel free again and not have the burden of societal pressure of being perfect all of the time, in every way, and the shackles of our countries decisions.

As someone who grew up with a particularly rough childhood I do feel like it's a form of escapism to the times of your childhood where you did feel like you had a normal childhood. To the little things that gave you that carefree feeling.

Yeahhhh absolutely true honestly, and not only that ,but you weren’t aware of awful things that happened you as kid,and now when you look at it back you just wonder why it happened and how you didn’t remember before and realize what’s going on,and you wish you didn’t even remembered it
