kill the aliens (poem)

the priest scolds the crowd, praying aloud 

"oh god, forgive these sinners, for they've never made you proud" 

then everyone goes about their day, not a thought in mind 

about how corrupted humans are, for the devil has gotten to mankind 

they praise the evil, disguise it, encourage it, they preach it and then they say 

"whoever strays afar from us has truly lost their way!"

"this is how we're supposed to be", proclaim the people who are in power 

while those who struggle to conform to these norms are left to hide and cower 

they go back on their word, then raise the sword and yell "kill the aliens!" 

truly revealing their hidden side, for they are animalian 

they slaughter and justify by using emotion to disguise 

their dangerous ideologies, and they'll always say it's right 

then they'll slip a few hundred-thousand to the judge to influence society  

while more hatred and disgust than there has to be 

"human" will be a word the future generations will never truly know 

but the aliens remain, hidden, from centuries ago  

i really don't know what category to put these poems in.
