its a good idea... for an au. it wouldn't WORK in game. anyone playing it blind would be extremely confused. cause they didn't do the weird route. because it's a secret. it also takes away the main part of the weird route which is the fact you CHOSE to do this. you CHOSE to put these kids through this. you chose to go back and freeze enemies, you chose to tell her it was real and you chose to go in the lake. making it so that it happens no matter what is taking away your choice and makes the weird route almost meaningless. "oh but your choices don't matter" your choices don't matter is like deltarunes kill or be killed. it is meant to be disproven. weird route is proof of that. we skip chapter 6 and all of chapter 5s dark world, how could our choices not matter in this case? at this point it should be very clear our choices DO matter.

"its me the knight I'm Kris and Noelle you fucking drowned us fuck you" is said to you. but you didn't do that. you didn't drown them. you didn't know it was an option. now you have to go back and do that. it forces you into a secret route when you weren't gonna do it before to understand the story. that's shitty. you can understand Undertale w/o genocide route, you should be able to understand deltarune without weird route. (which as of now you can! it certainly HELPS doing those routes but it is not mandatory.)

(also neither Kris or Noelle had gerson as a teacher and Kris def didn't know him well enough to bring him back in the dark world but thats neither here nor there)

it also kinda makes Kris imiating the knight and working with the knight mean less? they're just working with themself + Noelle. why would they do that. what purpose does that serve. 

idk I hate to rain on others parade but kriselle knight as a THEORY has such glaring holes its insane but as an au it'd be peak please make more deltarune aus please please ples
