larper

Lately theres been a bunch of words on the internet being thrown around, such as 'larp', 'whimsy' etc etc.

Literally anything you do or say at this point is just 'larping'. LARP originally means LIVE ACTION ROLE PLAY, which means you roleplay as a character or whatever. But now people are just using it wherever they can. I can't be the only person who finds it really annoying.

The same with 'whimsy'. I despise the whole 'clean girl' era and this is definitely a better change, but if you're gonna use the word, at least use it right.

No, you're not 'whimsy'. You're WHIMSICAL.

You're not 'whimsy'. You HAVE whimsy.

Not to mention, if you ask half these people what this word actually means, they'd just stare at you with a blank face.

Whimsy refers to a quality of lightheartedness and playfulness, and it is a NOUN, not an adjective(words used to describe). The adjective version of whimsy is whimsical.

thanks for reading lololol :)

Larper being the replacement of “poser” makes my soul hurt so bad, larping is one of the most genuine activities to do!! And same with whimsy and whimsical, I can’t trust most who say they are full of “whimsy” in a world that still overall treats furries, and honestly even just alternative people who don’t fit into a particular subculture box, the way it does…
