i just finished leviticus and oh my gosh.
the movie itself is haunting, but the beautiful parts are so amazingly portrayed that i cant put it into words. i loved the movie so much because everyone involved managed to tell the story so beautifully, and they managed to make me really feel the story through the screen
queer and trans people still have to experience conversion therapy and other forms of torture and hate just because the world decided to view people embracing who they are and/or loving who they want as a sin. in some countries theyre even killed and that just breaks my heart. as a queer person myself i cant imagine what that is like, but my heart breaks for the queer people who have experienced it. why must we, as people, do that to one another? why cant we just love and accept each other??
im so so happy that naim and ryan got their happy ending (for my own well-being im saying its a happy ending) and i cant help but wish i could come out and be myself, but its not possible for me and ill have to live with that for the rest of my life.
i wanna say, i never understood how people can see two people in love and think that its "disgusting" or "a sin". now imagine if queer people saw a straight couple and thought that, and even threw insults or objects at them, which is what many queer people experience every day in this cruel world along with physical harassment and abuse
love is love. and everyone deserves sunshine, even the people who are terrified to come out or are not able to. we see you and we love and accept you <3
