I've come out of stasis. Not recently, but gradually. I feel like I've got something on the tip of my tongue but I can't say just what it is. I only know it's important.
I used to think most of what we say is meaningless, but as spacemen exploring the final frontier, everything has an impact. For good or bad.
What about all the words I've wasted? All the unimportant things which make up my existence? I wonder what the first thing I said was and the last thing I say will be. Light-years of emptiness are suddenly filled with meaning and all the things I've said are reflected back to me between these two moments. So what is the most important thing you can say? I think hearing "I love you" is pretty important. It's a privilege to hear it.
It's interesting how the first domino knocks over the last without even touching it. A series of events lined up, each one fueled with the appropriately allocated kinetic energy and possessed with the will to deliver a single message. One short sentence communicates with someone through all the depths and passages of space and time. A movement with purpose. "I love you."
