Log Entry 8: Scope

9/24/26

Like families, moons orbit worlds as worlds orbit suns. They move about connecting or disconnecting with one another until they meet again. Celestial bodies with ruins of storms under atmospheric toxicities. They look so pretty this far out.

I see the marbles rolling though the dark, distant asteroids flitting past. A comet is cast into a planetary disc, catching a gentle shape of ice. A glint of something once unnoticed, gone into glistening filaments years away. A quiet witness to a brief cataclysm. A little moment of light to spark a smile.

When a star supernovas with modesty and grace; its core comes together to create a Neutron star - a dense, living memory. In another life, its own gravity caves the star. Cloaked by a black hole and darkening the deep space, it sinks everything around it. A centripetal force of absence.

Time isn't emotional and it doesn't decide anything. It's a metric we use because we're born and the universe is already there waiting. We age because we're human, but remaining human in life is our decision.

Souls are alluring - they pull you in with the gravity of a dying sun. They can warm you or bring you down with them. At least from this distance, I can enjoy the blink of light as I pass.
