You know that feeling when you love sleeping but you have chronic pain and fatigue issues? I love sleeping, but when I sleep I can go on for like 24 hours with just pee breaks and water. I can do it everyday and just survive with one day being awake for 2 hours, and cooking for 1 of those hours. I get nothing done. I try to make plans to leave the house and see friends only to sleep through it. At one point it's almost like I want to bang my head against the wall because dude. The issue? Here we are right now, I'm staying up, its 7am and I have yet to get a blink of sleep although, I wouldn't mind a nap. However, whenever I sleep, I wake up and all of my joints hurt, my head feel fuzzy and suddenly being alive is overwhelming once again. The pain in all of my joints and how sore my body feels really gets me, how is it that I sleep whether its 6 hours, 8 hours or 20, it doesn't matter, I wake up feeling worse than I went to sleep? I just want to be productive and not feel like I'm rotting in my illnesses.
Before I get some lame advice, yes I stretch in bed and massage all of my bones, it doesn't help. I have a weighted blanket, a pregnancy pillow (although I've yet to even be pregnant), multiple pillows, air purifier, etc. I know there's a perfect mix somewhere, as its not always that I get up with everything in pain, but lately it's been happening a lot and I just want to complain because, sleep should be restorative? The fact with chronic illness' it's not always restorative is bulllllllllllllllllll. ![]()
