Gold patterns line the towering marble walls. Pillars around me hold flickering torches, illuminating the extensive hall in a dim light. I continue down, the hall feels endless and empty. The silence begins to creep up on me, I hear whispers, getting louder and louder as I make my way down the marble hall. Until I reach an altar, stained with old and fresh blood. Before me stands a man, a creature, a monster, eyes stitched closed, dozens of arms protruding from its body, each hand holding a conductor's baton. I reach out, my hand barely touching the altar before a bright light flashes before me, I hear the sound of a beautiful choir. When I come to, I'm in a massive wheat field with giant windmills and beside me, stands another boy, younger than me, his legs beginning to turn to a wiry tangle of black.
