so i've obtained a club president position for the mental health awareness club at my school, and i am very excited to start working on events, resources, as well as get more community hours by being involved.Â
i was accepted for 1-week training that finished today. i learned quite a few things and got to know a few people... honestly, im not the most social even if i force myself to come off that way. (maybe thats why its hard for me to actually want to answer people or talk to others when im back home... hmm :( )
so here are a few things that i believe should be taken from what i learned if... lets say... you have terrible attention span:
1. how to be there for a friend thats going through it, while not throwing away your own self care
2. understand different perspectives and understand that not everyones situation is the same or has the same exact factors involved
3. knowing where you can go if you ever have concerns
