id hate to be a parent to a mentally ill kid . not like ocd adhd mental i mean like "0MG0SH I JS CUT T0 BEAN$ !!! I <3 SCH00L SH00TER$!!!!! :3333" mental , esp when they have a million labels or into tht weird shi 😭 . it be those same ngas posting abt how nb helps them but then never tell anyone they need help . that teenager across the world does not care . then they go and talk abt how they lie to their therapist and shi like omgoshhhh do u want help or not . like dawg it gets to a point where it purely looks like attention seeking . u cannot be on that level of insanity and then ignore the resources / help in front of u to make u sane

even as that mentally ill kid thats now an adult, in hindset, i get it. I needed help and I accepted that. But I had this friend who just straight up flaunted her SH... like would do it w a pencil in the middle of class, but wouldnt accept help for it even tho her parents were trying and then claimed they werent?? Even her own sister called her out on it

as someone who's had to deal with this, I completely agree. What makes me angrier tho is that sometimes there will be groups of these kids who fuel each others fire and think it's cute to be mentally ill.

I can definitely understand where you are coming from, but I do want to make a few points of why some people may act that way.
Sometimes people are nervous or unsure about reaching out to a professional for some of their issues. At times some people feel that even a professional may judge them or look poorly on them for things they think/feel/have done, and it causes them to not open up. This can cause people to be too anxious, or even nervous to open up to a professional.
Sometimes people are unsure about their symptoms or too self aware about their symptoms. When people are unsure or too self aware of their symptoms it makes them feel that they have them under control and don't need help. It is not the best way of handling symptoms, as sometimes people cannot handle them when they think they do, but it is how some people feel.
Some people feel like they need more support from certain support groups. Family, professional, and friends are all separate support groups that you can have. Sometimes, when one is lacking it can make people feel like they aren't getting the help they need due to that lack in support. It doesn't mean they aren't getting help, it may just be that they are lacking help in a certain support group sector.
Lastly, I would like to point out people with mood disorders. As someone with a mood disorder, and see a professional regularly, I and many of my other friends with mood disorders have extreme emotion. That extreme emotion can lead to not feeling supported enough or in the way you need because the emotion is so extreme. Mix that with teenage hormones, and it's a recipe for explosions and not feeling supported enough. People with extreme emotion often need a lot more support than what is given, not because anyone is doing anything wrong; but because it is simply how extreme the emotion is.
I would like to add additionally that some people, if not most, are more comfortable sharing their mental health and venting online. This is because it makes it feel less lonely and isolating as it's easy to find people who are in a similar situation. So it is fairly common to find people venting or sharing their mental health struggles online more often that they are with a professional, trusted adult, loved one, or friend.
All of THAT said, I do understand where you are coming from. I can definitely see in adults, teenagers, and the elderly how that may present itself sometimes. However I wanted to share some scenarios that may make it look like that's the case when it isn't, and it's simply just complex emotion. Of course, the cases I brought up are not every single time, however it is a good majority of the time these cases.
Either way, totally valid to see it that way and I can understand where you are coming from!
