Minors please do not send me friend requests.

If you are a minor, please hear what I say,
Do not send a friend request my way.
This is a boundary, firm and clear,
One I expect all to respect here.

No exceptions made, no reasons to bend,
I am an adult, not someone to befriend.
This is not cruelty, rejection, or spite,
But knowing what boundaries are right.

Adults and minors should know where to draw the line,
For not every friendship is appropriate or fine.
A twenty-two-year-old and someone sixteen,
Are at different stages of life, with years between.

An adult should understand the responsibility they bear,
To maintain proper boundaries with caution and care.
Some friendships are simply not appropriate to pursue,
And respecting that distinction is the mature thing to do.

Respect my decision, and understand,
This is a boundary on which I firmly stand.
So if you're under eighteen, let it be,
Please do not send a friend request to me.
