missing autumn 🍂˚ ༘ ೀ⋆｡˚☕️

as much as i've been trying to get in the autumn mood, the weather has not made it easy.

instead of falling leaves coating the street floors in a beautiful mismatch of colours, i see a only a few green ones, sadly hanging onto its summer tones. instead of a pleasant chill that makes you want to curl up in a sunny corner, there's overwhelming heat that hazes the mind and makes it impossible to ask for a hot caramel macchiato. 

the only respite comes at night, as in the past week, that cold i so desired for has slowly snuck in, only to disappear come morning. i got my dearly appreciated patchwork wool blanket out, in warm cream and coffee tones, in the hope that a sudden heatwave won't strike again. for heaven's sake, my town used to get colder sooner than others a few years ago! now, we all must deal with a seemingly eternal summer, which only seems to be coming later every year... 

here's hoping that at least in halloween, i can comfortably brew some tea and bake some chocolate chips cookies for a good, cozy, movie marathon!
