mla 5 (closer, 2016)

the helplessness of being unaware of when you will fall through a crooked floor board next, have you ever turned your head to the devastation of the heart. i hope to not only define devastation as distress, but as the true anger and spite i feel down the pit of my stomach. drop the oil under my tongue as i roll out the layers of frustrations about the council that surrounds me. i will attempt to take flight akin to the dragonflies my brother and i would fish from the chlorinated water, left upon a leaf in the sun, i just hope that the sun will dry out my wings in time to beat the clock to the chase. everything is about you all, et all, so maybe i should cite my sources in mla style. 

to bring judgement to another is the ultimate basis of a friendship, the nature of our community is to combine our hate into a beast of a concept and watch as its jaws unhinge and furl upon the ones we should call close (closer, 2016).
