so...i am in an MUN and i got russia
so...this is my GSL speech!
Distinguished Chair and Fellow Delegates,
The Russian Federation stands for sovereignty, non-interference, opposition to unilateral hegemony, and a genuinely multipolar world order. The Security Council must promote dialogue — not serve as an instrument of political pressure.
There is a saying in Russian — "Bez truda ne vytashchish i rybku iz pruda" — "Without effort, you won't even pull a fish out of a pond." Peace requires that same effort, and it must guide our approach to Gaza, Sudan, and Iran alike.
In Gaza, Russia supports the two-state solution without external interference in either nation's sovereignty. We have watched resolution after resolution weakened by amendments protecting political allies rather than civilians — a humanitarian toll this Council cannot claim ignorance of.
For Sudan, Russia calls for inclusive, Sudanese-led dialogue alongside humanitarian and agricultural aid. But are we truly blind to the fact that foreign-funded weapons sustain this war?
In Iran, Russia holds that recent military action was illegal — Resolution 2231 expired, and no valid snapback mechanism remains to justify it. Selective enforcement when convenient sets a dangerous precedent for every sovereign state in this room.
Russia hopes to work constructively toward a draft that benefits all parties.
Thank you.
