My dumb History class and why I want to leave it.

Before I start, let it be known that we have diagnosed ADHD, autism, and OCD.

We attend our local community college, and our US. History teacher irritates us to no end. His classroom is supposed to be in a pretty small building, but that building is under renovation right now, so the auditorium is his classroom temporarily. Since it's an auditorium, there's a crazy echo that makes it soooo incredibly hard to hear and understand him. On top of that, he doesn't stay in front of his laptop, he walks around the stage, and it makes it very hard to focus on the huuuge drop-down screen that the lesson's slides are projected onto. Speaking of the slides and the screen, the slides from the book that he uses (I understand that teachers don't control what materials they use, I'm just salty) barley contain any information. It's one of those classes where you're expected to listen and take your own notes. News break: we don't learn like that. We can hardly write and listen at the same time, let alone comprehend anything with the echo issue. And the screen is curved at the sides so the projection doesn't completely fill the screen and it bothers us to no end. 

Now that you're aware of the situation, I'll get to our current problem.

Due to these factors, also the fact that we don't give a lot about History in the first place, we've fallen asleep almost every time we've went to that class, save for maybe once or twice. We've done three assignments the whole semester. We skipped out on both exams because the requirements and rubric were so ridiculous that we saw no point in even trying because we know for a fact that what was being asked of us was beyond our abilities. You're given six questions, and you have to choose four to answer, but for each question you have to write a literal essay with no notes no nothing. That's hard as fuck even for someone neurotypical. 

We currently have a 12% as our grade. We already dropped two classes last semester due to us getting overwhelmed and falling behind, causing us to freeze and not do any work, then stopping coming to both classes altogether. We had already missed the drop/add period, so the withdrawls gave us a warning in regards to our financial aid. We have a meeting scheduled with our advisor soon, we're going to ask him if it's possible to withdrawl from the second part of our History class and exchange it for something else without it affecting our financial aid. Countless times we've cried over this class.
