1. KOSS KSC75 Headphones

unfortunately, i'm part of the crowd who gets migraines from using bluetooth headphones... and headphones in general. and as if that wasn't enough, my ears are tiny and can't seem to hold onto a pair of earphones.
my favorite pair of earphones used to be these dirty buds that came with an old phone of mine. they were made outta pure cheapo plastic that fit in my ears perfectly. i used those things religiously for 15 YEARS!!! until a few months back when it took its own life by diving into a glass of water.... RIP Samsung dirty buds...
anyway, while looking for a replacement, i found the KOSS KSC75 which seemed absolutely perfect for me!!! wired, no annoying head strap and doesn't need to be jammed into my earholes. and it's KOSS, so you already know it's gonna be good. the downside? it's about 40 dollars. which apparently is budget for Americans, but in my country... not so much... definitely gonna prioritize saving up for this one tho!
2. Nabalis Hydra (Balisong Knife)

Carrying live blade balisongs are illegal in my country (weirdly enough despite originating from here...) BUT in a perfect world where they're legal to carry, i would love to have the Nabalis Hydra (Tanto Blade) as my everyday carry pocket knife!!
is it the most practical pocket knife? hell no!!! very far from it actually... you'd probably get much more use out of carrying a swiss army knife. HOWEVER, nothing is as stylish as opening a balisong with a flourish to do something as simple as opening a box and then flipping it closed as if you just did the most badass thing ever. and... i mean... are you seeing this thing??? it's BEAUTIFUL.
3. Anbernic RG SP

if i had to choose only one retro console to play for the rest of my life... it would be the PSP... BUT!!! the Gameboy Advance takes a very close second! and the RG SP is by far the best way to play it in my opinion. the fact that you can just open it, play a quick round of Crazy Taxi, close it back up and stuff it in your pocket??? that's absolutely insane to me!!!
there are just some days where i'd rather bring a portable device like this to play non-demanding games over lugging around my Retroid Pocket 5 (although, don't get me wrong, i LOVE my RP5 and it's the perfect PSP emulation machine... but i'll get to that later). and the best part about it? it can double as an MP3 player! sweet!!!!!
4. Mive Style Folder

my daily phone screentime is actually really good. i don't have any social media to doomscroll on. all i really do is text my girlfriend... and if my phone's screentime goes over an hour, there's a 99% chance that it was because i was on the phone with my girlfriend. long distance is no joke!!!
so, while there's really no need for me to "dumb down" my phone, i can't help but yearn for physical keys on it!!! i grew up during a time when slide out keyboards were the norm and my favorite game was bubble shooter on my dad's dinky Blackberry workphone. i remember always asking my dad for my own flip phone, but i wasn't allowed to have my own phone til i was much older. i was 16 when i got my first phone: a Samsung Note 1. i loved that thing to bits, but it's no flip phone!
i'm hoping to heal that inner child in me by getting something that can function like my current smartphone, but with physical keys!! to me, the limitations of a smaller screen and a slower processor isn't for me to lessen my screentime but to relive my dream of having a flip phone. so they're sorta like pros really :)
5. Portable CD Player / Discman

to be completely honest, i don't really have a specific brand or model in mind when it comes to portable CD players. all i know is that i grew up loving CDs. my dad and i would spend hours in front of our family computer, pirating movies, music, ps2 games, etc. and putting them on discs. we never sold them i swear... (maybe sometimes...)
it's such a shame that, despite growing up around CDs back then, we couldn't afford a discman 😭 i seriously reaaally wanted one, but they were getting phased out in favor of the iPod (we ended up getting a knockoff and i learned how to pirate music on that too...)
i forgot about having a discman for a while, until my girlfriend told me she had one stashed away in her house. she has no idea if it works, but she doesn't wanna give it to me!!! #AITA #Divorce #TrueLoveIsntReal (kidding i love my girlfriend. but she needs to give me that discman im so serious...)
6. Digimon Vital Bracelet
![Guide ] Digimon Vital Bracelet — Tips and tricks to get the Digimon you want - GamerBraves](/proxy/image.php?url=https%3A%2F%2Fgamerbraves.sgp1.cdn.digitaloceanspaces.com%2F2021%2F03%2Fvlcsnap-2021-03-26-10h56m59s575-1024x576.png)
the Digimon Vital Bracelet probably isn't the best Digimon you can get out there... i mean it pales in comparison to the other Digimon VPet Devices and it isn't even comparable to modern smartwatches. it doesn't track footsteps accurately, it has a small roster of monsters, there's not a lot of care options, and a multitude of other complaints that fans have about it.
but i've already got a Tamagotchi Paradise to care for and a phone that tracks my footsteps relatively accurately. what i don't have is a cool ass Digimon on my wrist!!!!!! this thing seriously looks like it came straight outta the anime!!
7. Microjournal Rev. 2 Revamp

okay this is more of a want than a need, but as a comic book writer, having a distraction-free modern typewriter is EVERYTHING. and being able to directly fund the creation of these things by ordering a custom one is pretty sweet.
i love the concept of devices that only have one use case and this thing is an extreme example of that. i also love the look of the word processor!!! i use obsidian with a similar theme because it motivates me to write :) will i ever get one of these? probably not... but that's why this is a WISHlist hahaha
8. Smiggle Creeper Backpack

lastly, a bag to put all that EDC stuff in!!! i actually prefer carrying convertible bags. something i can use as a briefcase or as a messenger bag or as a backpack depending on how heavy all my stuff is. but... i've been looking at this creeper backpack ever since Smiggle released it and all my critical thinking flies out the window every time i see it. i Want this creeper bag. no i NEED IT. BADLY.
Honorable mention: Framework Laptop Gen 12

Convertible, modular, touch screen laptop that comes in cute colors??? excuse me while i wet my pants cuz that's like the PERFECT EDC laptop. but i didn't add it to the list cuz i don't EDC any big devices :) it'd probably be more of a work-day carry.
if you've read this far!!! thanks!!! what's on your EDC wishlist? :)
i will probably post my current EDC soon!! i'll link it here once it's posted!
