My experience with CAMHU (kinda like a child psychward but very friendly)

So in march i was gone for like a whole month. reason being? I was i CAMHU. sorry guys

But hey it wasn't all bad. This stuff is gonna get deep in a vague way, but dont worry im alright! So i went in for a number of issues. second biggest issue i'll list was that I was sometimes psychotic but always extremely loony and paranoid, like to the point that i avoided all my friends had breakdowns by the river and thought everyone was out to get me and was put to live near me to collect information off me because i used to just spout out info i knew (that i should have not known about the government and stuff (it was all mostly just a delusion apparently)).

So i ended up in CAMHU, somewhat shortly after i punched a kid i shouldn't have punched. what i mean is everything that happened led to this even more. cause i still sont know if i was hallucinating like i always do, or if this was genuinely real, cause it sure felt real and yeah. that girls chasing me story is for another one if you wanna hear cause it was terrifying.

THE START

CAMHU did what they were told to do, but they were lenient. if they trusted you enough that is. you see, they strip you down of anything that can be used to kill yourself with or hurt others with, even crayons for some reason. then they give you new clothes to fit into, and they send you to your new room.

Plastic, Plastic, Plastic.

Everything was made of hard plastic. Everything was so heavy i could barely move the chair. (that choice was probably made so i cant use a bedsheet to tie a noose to the grate above and hang myself and knock the chair over, idk apparently i found out ways i could harm myself with that the staff didnt think of but it helped that it was designed that way anyway.) The only thing that wasnt plastic was the doors, walls, thick ass window, pillow case, and blankets/bedsheets. Everything else was some type of plastic or another.

Free Time

It was really nice! you got bored occasionally, and social media wasn't allowed, but they let you have Spotify and you tube. they also have art supplies and DVDs that are watchable, but no video games. eventually they let us out the unit and down into "townhall" where there was a gym, an arcade machine, a piano, and a pool table. i got pretty good at the piano if i do say so myself lol. Yeah, It felt like i was the only kid who didnt hate this place, and found it rather cozy, but then agian i have to factor in my past too. (maybe a story for another time.)

Extra: Education, Food, etc

The food wasnt half bad, ive eaten way worse. the younger kids complained a lot, but then would go eat ketchup packets and put pepper in their milk. the only thing i had an issue with on the food was the slimy pink raw chicken. Gordan Ramsey would be pissed. The food is also bland to accommodate all the people in the hospital, so we begged the staff to buy us spices we could use. we also got to make homemade pizza there, the staff really care about us there. :] kinda miss them.

we had school in there, it was like one teacher per two kids, so i got the education i needed in there, and it was very great, we had breaks and lunch, and if we got a certain amount of work done we could just relax for the rest of the school day.

Eventually, you could ask your guardian to bring in clothes of your own and even some trinkets, photos, or comic books/books of your own! very wicked awesome. but they check it all, so dont bring spicy material, lol.

Thats what it was like there, idc if the other kids siad it sucked, tbh it was very nice there. tbf i dont use ticktock or instagram or whatever is popular with social media today (i swear im 16, i just hate most social medias and the evilness behind it.)

Kudos: 2
