Ok so i got diagnosed with ASD in 7th grade. I always knew something was different but i never knew what it was until i got told what i had. Officially i had ASD, ADHD, and GAD and it was shocking but it was so relieving to know why i had felt different. When people think of autism tho they think of a certain stereotype. See i have level 1 so its not 'noticeable' ig but for others with level 2 or 3 its a lot more intense. But everyone's always so surprised when i say i have it.
Like for example, my friends and my bf have had to explain to me how they meant something constantly bc i never know when they're being serious or not, its honestly exhausting. I have to be memorizing movements to figure out what their feeling in a conversation. And dont get me started on trying to comfort people or trying to figure out what to do when someone's crying. Its hard for me to understand what to do, but ive never not tried to help. Ive learned js to ask if theres anything they need, wanna talk abt, and if they want to me stay w them or go. I never wna make someone feel even worse than they already do.
The worse part is my mom doesn't believe that i actually have anything. She thinks i faked my entire evaluation so i could js tell my friends (maybe to feel different, idfk). Sooo last year when i JS STARTED HIGHSCHOOL, she took me off my adhd meds second semester and got close to failing all my classes. But yk nothing was wrong w me apparently so i stopped taking my anxiety meds. Over the course of like a month and a half i got REALLY depressed and i didn't know why. Turns out my anxiety meds also help with depression, so when i stopped taking them i eradicated the thing keeping my will to live to.
Idkkk might do pt 2 later?
love grace
