My Mother

Why does my mom treat me and my twin so differently? We aren't all that different. With me she is very supportive. She'll do anything to help me, and whenever we talk I can tell she really cares. And even though nothing ever really changes (because medication/therapy/etc is a little out of our budget) I know she wants me to be happy.

But the things I hear from my twin are really upsetting!! Apparently our mom saw their cuts and came into their room to call them an embarrassment and stupid and all these horrible things :^[

They're always telling me about talks like these. I don't know how someone could treat their children so differently, especially when they have such similar issues. Is it a "daughter" versus "son" thing?? I'm so confused. I don't know what to do.
