New Hallowenaeum Announcement

Do Holidays go in the art category? Lulz

One or two people reading this might remember our site East Athenaeum had a dark version in the background known as Hallowenaeum. Halloween resources, obviously. We had to scrap it when we moved from a subdomain to owning our own second-level domain so we wouldn't get sued.

Revan didn't approve of a lot of what I put in there because it was too dark. Halloween is a kids holiday that's all pumpkins, ghosts, and candy, right? Hell no. To me it was always about appreciation for cosmic level demonic hatred and terror. Agree to disagree.

In any case, we're bringing back the name, but we're going to tone it down a lot (unfortunately) to keep with the safe nature of our site. We've decided to go with a single, intentionally disorganized page for something along the lines of... Easter egg hunting. 🤣 A lot of what was in the original will be in it, but not all of it.

Here are the changes:

• Of course, we'll have the countdown embedded. It is sacred.
• We'll be keeping most of the links to other Halloween/goth websites and resources
• We'll be keeping all the film reviews from Flicks and adding series. Where to watch them will be contingent on if we can link to searches that tells you automatically (Google/Bing/etc).
• We'll be keeping most of the embedded music videos from Ambiance
• We'll still have trailers and direct links for video games, and we'll probably add some other types too
• Blinkies, buttons, stamps, borders; we'll still have most of them, probably separated
• All the gifs from Shadows are gone. We can't display them.
• All of the dark humor memes from Ghastliness are gone too.
