If you don't know yn means "young nigga" and basically It original started out as a phrase within Black communities as a casual term for a young black man or teen. The problem is when non black people come online and just call any black man wearing street wear a yn. Like FIRST OF ALL that's racist saying yn is the same as saying nigga which a slur that non black people cannot say and then some of the non black people saying it have the audacity to try gentrify the term saying it's tiktok slang when its really AAVE.

As someone who's half Black, I'm honestly just so fucking tired of it. Just hearing so many non-Black kids try to act Black or steal from Black culture and claim it as their own while not respecting the people who created that to begin with. It's so exhausting. Then these same kids will have the nerve to label it as Gen Z or TikTok slang when it's like, "My dude, half of that shit came from Black people." And God forbid you call it out as cultural appropriation, you're a sensitive snowflake. Like, what?
