So, don't you ever just wish that you could go back in time to a time you'd like? So many people would want that, including me! "But it's not as good as you see it" I mean, well. yeah. every era has its problems. There truly is no "perfect decade." I'm excluding any year like the mid 1900s and before that, because well... i wouldn't even be able to breathe in those years. So, ya know, I'd choose to live in the 90s-mid 2010s. I miss when everyone was always outside and no social media that was too addictive to the point to keep us anti-social.
"But you can still live like this today" not really, no. Many people today cannot live like this. Stores are modernized to look plain. Houses look like white hospitals now. People are so chronically online that they forget to look up and breathe in once in a while. I remember being a kid in the 2010s, and I believe it was the perfect balance in my life. Though I was a kid, even the millennials praise this era. There's not this much whimsy going around anymore, and it makes me sad for this new generation. The last good year was 2019. 2020 was okay, but nothing hits the same anymore. I mean though if I were to choose a decade, like most people, I'd choose the 2000s. Maybe like 2009 or 2010. I dunno, time felt slow, and not fast paced, like as if you were doomscrolling or something.
So, I have a challenge for the people who would like to try this, including myself! Let's try to stay off of modern technology for a day, or if you're strong enough, let's go for a week! The exceptions for going back to modernity are for work and messaging. Read, play video games, use the television, play a musical instrument, play outside, focus on your sport, illustrate, and etc! I believe, and happy day!
