Not having friends this year brought a sense of peace in me

Seriously. Now that I've left the girl I wrote about in a previous blog, I've been feeling much lighter and actually feel more positive, in a way.

I don't feel sad when I sit alone.

I don't feel like a loser when I'm sitting by myself, reading class notes while eating at a table with nobody sitting there, with nobody to laugh with.

I actually feel at peace.

My Arabic teacher (my fav ever, he's like a grandpa to me) came up to me and was like, "Zanouba (that's the nickname he calls me) is sitting alone? Where is your friend, that (her name), if I remember?"

And I told him that I no longer hang around with her. I said that we're just not compatible. I also told him that "she's not my enemy; I still talk to her in class; it's just that I don't think we work out"

And honestly? He found it really interesting. He said that I must be really professional/direct or smth haha I forgot he said it in Arabic, and he said that it's pretty good that I'm a selective person.

This is proof that the people I was with drained my energy completely. And now that I've let go, I feel much better. I've discovered myself; I no longer feel depressed, and I no longer feel alone.

Leaving people can change lots of things about yourself. I'm not even kidding. If you guys have these kinds of issues, please do yourself a favour and LEAVE. LEAVE AND DON'T TURN BACK. YOU'LL SEE HOW MUCH IMPROVEMENT YOU'LL MAKE.

I'm still taking it slowly so I don't burn out, but I'm just really proud of myself. And I hope I can continue like this for years to come.

I'm not saying "don't have friends", I'm saying, "it's okay to not have friends".

As long as you feel happy. Remember that you matter; stay healthy. xoxo luv u all :3
