"Now I'm back, to change your mind..." - (09/04/2026)

...gravely underestimated just how busy I'd be this week. University kinda walloped me, which is pretty unexpected to be honest. As it turns out, typography is actually quite time-consuming! Therefore I missed yesterday's blog update. Sorry folks. But hey! I'm making up for it now! Isn't that grand.

...on Wednesday I chilled with my friends. Played some Intruder (very, very underrated multiplayer stealth game; we were like the only people online too) and Jackbox, and much mirth and laughter was had by all. Job Job was pretty unique because we rarely if ever play that one, Survive the Internet had us crying laughing and Quiplash 3 capped it off with old in-jokes.

...really, other than that, little else to report. It has been a relatively normal week thus far. I'm still playing SWAT 4 whenever I get the time (frankly I'm addicted to it), and am probably going to replay Max Payne 3. I've got a lot to say about that game, and I feel like what I have to say could fill up an entire blog post, so I'll spare myself from having to write about it for now. I will say, however, that it's probably one of the best third person shooters ever made.

...now spinning: "Total Devo" by (who else) Devo. See, the thing about this record is that it sucks. Devo already kinda tripped on their own shoelaces with the abysmal Shout, and while that album has its shooters, this is just an embarassment. There's a lot to be said about their cataclysmic falloff after Oh, No! It's Devo (which is pretty much musical shitposting). Either way, aside from "Happy Guy" and (I guess) "Baby Doll" everything here is generic late-1980s synth-pop crap "cleverly" disguised as a product of wit and irony, two things it clearly does not have. It's nuts how Devo made a perfect album, and 4 albums that are almost perfect, and then decided they had enough of writing good songs.

(EDIT: My dumbass forgot what day it was.)
