i know this is a veryyyyyy cold take, but i figured i’d weigh in on this. it really reallyyyy irritates me when people talk about ocd like its a fun little quirk that makes you color code things and clean up a lot. as someone with ocd its literally taken over my life, to the point that i can’t do the most basic tasks without feeling extreme pressure or anxiety until i’ve done certain “rituals”. and i’m not trying to turn this into “wah wah me me me”. i know so many people who feel this exact way. and i know that its a very easy mistake to make since its been so deeply ingrained in a lot of peoples minds that its just the obsessive need to straighten picture frames or sweep the floor, but its something that i wish more people understood. especially when the people who say this kind of stuff are the same people who would look at me like i was a crazy weirdo before i figured out how to mask my compulsions. i don’t mean to sound hyper woke, but i just felt like talking about this, especially since i’ve noticed more people with this kind of mentality.
stay cool, take care of yourselves ![]()

ALSO YEA- I hateeee it when people are like “omggg sorry!! I need to fix this picture frame!! It’s my ocd!!” And then it’s just some 45 year old woman who likes to clean 😭😭
