According to several reports from early 2003, there was a report from the laboratories of Great Icon, the home of the laboratories in Southern Idaho, that there was apparently a miscommunication with details regarding their at-the-time recent project.
Authorities have since dropped the investigation regarding said missing details, and although public questions still remain, according to that newspaper from October 8th, 2003, apparently there have been no questions since that last newspaper batch was produced. There's certainly something going on here, a little over 25 years later.
To quote the newspaper's own public comments directly that they had recorded towards Great Icon Research Institute:
- "Why isn't there more information about why the slip-up happened with details? What was it about the usage of harvesting obsidian in Hawaii, and why is it so important to the nature of their research and being a subsidiary of NASA? Doesn't NASA only work on killing people in their shuttles?"
- "Is this a cover-up or was it a genuine slip-up? That's what I want to know about this."
According to that newspaper, there weren't any leads on what the institute was doing after their sudden lay-off in December of 2000, official statement on change in operations on February 7th, 2001, and their construction of what they described as "data centers" for mass amounts of raw data that was in-progress for over a year during what they called an "upscaling of the work force."
Other than those hints at what was going on before then, not much else exists about the institute prior to that batch of newspapers from October of 2003.
Nonetheless, I'll keep looking for more information about them.
