People who stare too much

I hate people who stare at you like their life depends on it for no apparent reason. It's one of my biggest pet peeves EVER. Mainly because I think I am really hard to look at, and people continuously staring at me for long periods of time makes me feel really insecure and like they're analyzing every single ugly feature on my face. Or that they're judging me for the way I act....... I can't even hold eye contact unless we're directly talking... like if you're just staring at me from across the room, depending on who you are, I'll either look away extremely fast or just stare at you back with a concerned look on my face. But the 2nd one only really happens when friends or classmates do that, and only really 1 of my classmates does that, and I don't even have classes anymore, so you can probably figure out which one happens more on a day-to-day basis... but I really can't stand it. Because once I think past my insecurities, it truly makes me wonder, "What on Earth are you even looking at?" I'd get it if you were staring at me because I was actively drawing attention to myself, like if I was screaming like a total maniac, but the thing is...I don't really do that... at all. And I know most times, there's not really some super deep, insightful meaning as to why people stare or observe others in general, but I still want to know, even if it's something as simple as "I was just zoned out, and you were in my line of sight." To be honest, I'm just a really curious person. Anyway, I forgot where I was going with this.
