☁️☁️☁️
Staring out at the pink clouds
Of sunset drooping
Heavy in the far west
Telling myself I will not
Think or lust after loss
But it insists upon itself
In the twin chair beside mine
Unoccupied and forlorn
And the size 9 dents
Where the grass is not want
To grow anymore
There is a cup of iced tea
And a empty ring parallel
Flies land on it in mockery
Dancing around the circle
Pulsing throbbing
With the beats of my heart
The breeze comes off the clouds
And blows grit into my eyes
Coaxing tears
Cruel sky
What business it is of nature
To remind me of what isn't anymore
Pink clouds will die to night
And darkness covers all the sins
Of day and light
