pls help

so i dont drink and there is no problem with that right but every single time im at a party and i say that ppl gen get confused and say that partiyng without any drinks is terrible bc your not that relaxed with the ppl around you and i hear this argument so much but i simply dont get it why go to a party where you know that ppl are there that you don like and drink so you maybe have a decent conversation or this whole it puts me in a better mood excuse i just dont get it drinking is like taking drugs to me its like almost does the same harm and on top of that t doesnt even taste good
