Behind the Window(Poem)
I sit in the backseat, quiet and still,
While my parents talk as they always will.
My headphones on, the music starts,
And slowly I drift away in my thoughts.
The highway stretches, the hours pass,
I watch the world through the window glass.
Trees disappear, the sky turns grey,
But in my music, I’m far away.
No words, no noise, just songs in my ears,
A little escape from the world for a while.
The road keeps going, mile after mile,
And I just sit back and let myself smile.
