Poem: Autumn begs for a pilgrimage...

Salty waves crash at the brim

All outer beauty wears thin

Who will hold what stirs within?

When minerals at last corrodes him?

Salt will eat the uneasy souls it graces

Snug, taking refuge in every crevice

Growth pains elude featureless faces

Who will cry over an overfilled chalice?

He understood Autumn begs for a pilgrimage...

May those violent waters, from he untether

Write a love letter to solitude, hermit's passage

In solemn acceptance: impermanence is forever

Emotions have been at a peak lately and there's only so much I can tolerate before realizing I need to distance myself for a while. I can be a fiery, passionate person; my words can cut or mend how I like them to. But this fire comes at a cost. It's usually around autumn when I get the urge to keep to myself and replenish my energy. During these times I like to pray for mercy: so i can be merciful to myself or others. That fire can morph into anger and then into resentment for those around me. The best I can do in this time is keep to myself and evaluate what I must let go of to continue my journey with a lighter weight on my shoulders.
