Poetry III

hai hai! this one's kind of heavy, at least for me!

I wrote this poem after breaking up with my ex and I wasn't doing too good... anyways!

happy reading! :3

(lei che fu)

ti penso spesso

ma spesso non penso a te

ricordo il tuo ingresso

e ricordo le nostre notti col caffè

“tutto era perfetto”

“tutto hai rovinato”

non trovo il mezzo, non lo accetto

penso che ogni mio pensiero sia sbagliato

mi consumo

mi struggo

è normale, così presumo

è orribile, alla soluzione sfuggo

io ti amavo

io mi fidavo

è lì che tutto è iniziato

col bastardo Ripugnante

che a rovinar tutto ti ha aiutato

a cosa pensavi? eri almeno esitante?

prometti sempre lo stesso

ma sempre lo infrangi

mai ricordartelo mi è permesso

“io mai mento!” e intanto piangi

ti sei permessa

da quella posizione,

ad udirti rimango perplessa,

a chiedermi una spiegazione.

ogni volta che per me stessa vivo

trasformi in me speditamente

il bello in negativo,

un’amica in un malvivente.

e col tuo ultimo atto

spegni in me la fiamma,

firmiamo un futile amichevole patto

e ora più non devo farti da mamma

(she who was)

I often think about you

but often I do not

I remember your entrance

and I remember our nights with our coffee

“everything was perfect”

“everything you have ruined”

can't find no middle, I can't accept it

I think my every thought is wrong

I waste myself

I feel myself aching

it's normal, so I presume

it's horrible, the solution escapes me

I loved you

I trusted you

and it's there that everything started

with that repugnant bastard

that in ruining everything lended a hand

what were you thinking? were you at least hesitant?

always promising the same

but as always you break it

never allowed was I to remind you

“I never lie!”, meanwhile you cry

you dared

from such a standing,

hearing you I'm perplexed,

to ask me for explanations.

everytime that I live by myself

you transform around me hastily

the good into negative,

friends into criminals.

and in your last act

you extinguish my flames,

we sign a futile, friendly pact

and now no longer must I be for you like a mom
