Hi everypony! It has been quite some time since I last wrote anything, but a conversation with a new friend about writing & reading somebody's poetry had me feeling inspired, so! I am a bit rusty, but would love to hear your thoughts :]

#1:
Breeze brushing through, blades of green bathed in a warm light. Soft sounds of life echoing through the trees, the skies, the dirt, my skin.
I lay frozen in time. Time of peace, time of "it will be okay".
Inside sits pain, sorrow, love, joy. Life.
Outside is the world moving steadily.
A breath, and I join the Earth on its simple task of being, of living.
The Earth spins, and it will be okay.

#2:
I wonder what letting go feels like. Forgiving and forgetting is all I live and breathe, over and over and over again.
I would be happier letting go, but my hands are strapped to the wheel, and so I keep my foot on the pedal, driving around and around and around.
It is a bruise I can't help but press, a scab I pick.
If you want to beat the dead horse, you know where to find me
(in a maze with an exit I turn a blind eye to)

I am trying to stray away from the dark topics a lot of my poetry would be driven by and instead make it into something hopeful or reflective :p
