I guess the term is larper now...? which is really weird because that used to stand for Live Action Role Playing but whatever.
There is only two ways to be a poser (I believe)
1. Dress a certain subculture without really beilive its ideas, morals. Like when someone who claims their goth doesn't actually listen to goth music.
2. Only like a thing because others do. It doesn't matter if you've never watched the movie, played the game, or anything else if you genuinely like it and don't claim to like it more than you do you aren't posing

Well i would argue the second one, so basically if you say you like something you have never watched or done you are not a poser? That is pretty much what posing/larp is
