Question for anyone who goes to public high school

So I’ve been homeschooled for like around 5 yrs I left public school in 6th grade and so I have no high school experience socially and I lowk don’t shave(it’s natural it’s not gross or disgusting) and after this summer I’m going into my junior yr and my sister who did go to public school told me that she needed to talk to me abt my “hygiene” I was so scared bc I thought that meant that I was a stinky winky but she said it wasn’t that but it was the fact I had body hair that I didn’t shave. She warned me ppl would make fun of me for it and like I told her that I knew that and I was prepared for it  but she couldn’t comprehend that I rlly don’t care what ppl think of my body hair at all but later I told my friend abt it and I said something corny like “if they make fun of me for it I’ll show up the next day wearing a tank top” (yes ik corny but whatever) and she was like saying that would ruin my social life or something bc some ppl think it’s unhygienic and I told her that if ppl were gonna dislike me just bc of my body hair I don’t wanna be friends or care what they think and she was like i can’t make u do anything im just warning u or something like that (also my friend is the sweetest person ever but she sometimes cares what others think) and idk i still don’t care what ppl think abt it and i would like to think im prepared bc my sister makes fun of it a lot but what my friend said makes me worry. Sure I can “not care” all I want but with how my friend was talking abt it is it rlly something that will end up that bad? I need some honest advice from high schoolers pls!
