I will be honest... recovering from a triple cervical fusion has been one of the hardest things i've ever been through.
before surgery, i was living with constant pain. my neck hurt, my arm hurt, my fingers were numb, and there were days where even simple things felt impossible. i knew surgery was the right decision, but that didn't make it any less scary.
recovery hasn't been a straight line. some days i wake up feeling like i'm finally making progress, and other days my neck is sore, my shoulders ache, or i get random nerve pain that reminds me healing takes time. it's frustrating because you want to feel "normal" again overnight, but the body doesn't work that way.
the hardest part hasn't even been the pain... it's learning to be patient. i'm so used to always doing something, going somewhere, or helping everyone else. now i'm having to remind myself that resting isn't being lazy—it's part of getting better.
through all of this, i've learned to appreciate the little victories. swallowing gets easier. sleeping gets a little more comfortable. i notice i can move a little better than last week. those tiny moments might not seem like much to anyone else, but they remind me that healing is happening, even when it feels slow.
i've also realized how lucky i am to have people cheering me on. every message, every check-in, every "how are you feeling?" means more than i can put into words. having people who genuinely care makes the rough days a little easier to get through.
this whole experience has taught me that healing isn't just physical. it changes the way you think, the way you appreciate your health, and the way you look at everyday life. i know i still have a road ahead of me, but i'm hopeful. every day is one step closer to getting back to doing what i love.
so here's to taking recovery one day at a time. no rushing, no comparing my progress to anyone else's—just focusing on getting a little stronger every single day.
if you're reading this because you're going through something similar, don't give up. healing is slow, and some days are really hard, but every day you keep going is another day closer to feeling like yourself again.
thanks for following along on this journey with me. i'll keep sharing the good days, the hard days, and everything in between.
xoxo. 🖤

Aww, thank you so much. 🖤 That really means a lot. I'm trying to remind myself that healing isn't a race—it's one day, one step, one little victory at a time. Hopefully before I know it, this will all just be a memory.
Thanks for the kind words & good vibes. =^.^= ♥
