Red Pomegranate♥️🍷🍎💄🫀 ~ Poem

Long I have loved you from afar

I have watched you from my window

As you ripened on the vine

Now I am human

For I have seen your smile

Out of my grave I have sprung

For you are the one

I will tell you of my love for you

Of my devotion I will sing

Every day and in everyway

Until you feel

Just the same

I have brought you

A blossom

Bright with dew

To wear as a crown

Your hands are no longer like ice

They are warm as the baker's den

And your kisses are

My freshbaked bread

Without you I am undone

Incomplete

As cakes without icing

And sun without shine

Pomegranate

Is a lovely name

But Red Pomegranate

Is like petrichor

To a cruel Grecian god

It is Sunday

My dear

A Sunday for Pomegranate

And all is right with the world

But yet you cry

Are not jewels enough my love?

What about the wine

You often put to your lips?

Is it not sweet enough

To your precious tongue?

Are its kisses as revolting to you

As you now find mine?

But I love you Pomegranate

I do not love Mango

Or Pineapple or Pear

Not even Cherry or Plum

But you must give me pass

For I was so famished

And without satiety

Why do you hide your light from me?

My sun, my stars,

My shady tree?

They came to me in a dream

The foxes with red teeth

They sniff the wind

They search and search

But cannot find

The source of Eden air

I could not find you today

My little Pomegranate

You had forsaken

Your bowl, your creche, your home

Are you alone

Out there

Somewhere?

They are searching for you

The foxes with red teeth

Fever is in my bed

I toss and turn

Thrashing in the confines

Of your satin prison

The red sheets

Turn my stomach into the sea

But I will not surrender

Into sleep

For I will dream of foxes

Clawing at my branch

Do you see now

Why they have red teeth

My love?

They seek what is mine

My Pomegranate

Would you them have you?

And not even for pennies?

I forgive you Pomegranate

Come to me

And be my sun

It has been so dark

And rain laden

But in you there is no gray

Or cold

Your love is my warmth

And stay

My teeth are white like pearls

And my lips are stained

With my love for Pomegranate

I have hurt you

And I love you

Red Pomegranate

More than life and light

But your blood is so

Juicy sweet

And the tongue cannot resist

To tell the teeth to tear

So it may taste

Once the only flutter in my chest

Was from a glance of you

Now I feel it at all hours

And I fear it

For it may take me from you

You do not love me

You say to me

Not with your words

Your mouth gives me sweets

That your eyes cannot

I watched you from the window

But it was not the same

I watched you go out

Into the sea of colors

I watched you as you walked

You looked good from down there

You looked like you belonged

All things of your hand are beautiful

Your scribblings in the dark

Your paintings in the day

Your flowers that you water

Your dishes made of clay

The jewelry made of silver

Tarnishing away

And the furrow on my face

Yes most of all

If I look close

I can see your finger prints

I wish I were beautiful

As beautiful as you

Violet is the color of royalty

And thus too, of beauty

How thoughtful of you now

To put it all over me

Pomegranate

O my Pomegranate

Our love conceived in spring

And born in the summer sun

Though labor pains have shaken us

Now gives way to drying leaves

And whispers of the chill

Ache in our bones

Hurt me now

As I have hurt you

You are the wolf

Sink your teeth into the weak

And feast upon the blood

Red as ripe Pomegranates

We are bound to winter

Cold and cruel

Our skin turns blue

My sweet Pomegranate

No hearth can warm us

Farewell my love

My sweetest Pomegranate

These eyes see not the rot

That you ascribe to your stem

Nor the blight you claim

Ravages your flesh

You are as lovely

And unmarred as the day

I first set about

Making you mine

And if you should ever

Find it in your heart to love me

While I still draw breath

Return unto my house

And make it your home

Goodbye Red Pomegranate

Goodbye

Last night I had a dream

You were standing over me

While I was swaddled in my bedsheets

Your eyes hot coals

And they burned my soul

Around your shoulders

Were the furs of a hundred white foxes

And when you went to open your mouth

To speak

Your teeth were red
