I love to study religions is one of my favorite things. But there is one religion that has stuck with me for a long time as an omnist. Buddhism! The reason isn't what you might think tho. There is so many misconceptions about Buddhism (and Hinduism but this isn't what this blog is about) that once one studies the religion you realize is completely different from anything you have ever heard especially here in the west. I used to believe it was just atheism with meditation but it isn't even atheist is polytheist. I'm not sure why is there so much misconceptions about Buddhism. If I had to guess? It would be people misunderstanding Buddhism ideas like anatta.

ohh i think the same, maany religions here in the west are so so misunderstood :/
also, do you have any guidance in starting studying buddhism? seems really interesting to research.
I really suggest seeing content from real Buddhist not people trying to explain it. I suggest AjahnSona and BuddhismInEnglish in YouTube! For reading Wikipedia is meh but it's good with the basics! buddhanet.net is very good for more in depth research
