Jesus Camp is a 2006 doc about an evangelical summer camp and watching it always manages to just scratch my head in disbelief at how far people can take religion in their lives
my mother is almost exactly like the people they document in the film, yk the type of people who say science and global warming is fake and homeschool their children since apparently public schools cant be 'trusted' so I suppose thats why it triggers me just a tad
and Mike Papantonio is a christan radio host who is shown through out the film and he is a christan I can understand
a long quote from him i like "Why are kids taught that global warming doesnt exist? ok? why? look, rape this world, rape this earth, take everything you want from it because you know what? It doesnt matter. We're not here for very long, Christ is coming to take us away from earth, so cut down our trees, use all our oil, take advantage of everything that the earth has to offer. Thats why you hear them getting involved in issues like global warming and you wanna shake em and say What is it that your not getting about the fundamentals of Christianity; how did you get here?"
ughhh I remember when I went to bible camp when I was younger was pretty boring, just got yelled at a bunch about god and jesus and all the counselors were annoying as fuck, im glad my mother slowly learned overtime to respect my boundaries on religion like not forcing me to church and such

Yikes..... That's scratching my head too and I remember seeing a "Christian" Cult that was on Idaho on YouTube and they're messed up.
Very messed up.
