Sailor Moon VOL1 Recap: Because I Can't Remember Shit

Alright, I'm starting this neat little series of blogs up because I'm rereading Sailor Moon, and I actually want to remember what happens after I read the damn book. Oh and also I wanted to work on my writing skills a little! 

ACT1- We're starting off strong with our main protagonist, Usagi Tsukino, running late for school. She trips over what appears to be an injured cat while she's hurrying off to school, who then runs away from her after she removes the bandages from the kitty's head. Usagi ends up showing late to class (who could've guessed!) Usagi gets scolded by both her teacher, Haruda, and her best friend, Naru. After having a short discussion about their test scores, Usagi, Naru, and Umino hear from two other girls about a jewelery store robbing, Umino brings up Sailor V, and how she captured the robbers, and she is allegedly a special detective from the police. As it turns out, Naru's mom runs a jewelery business, and everyone previously mentioned (sans Umino) stops by to visit and potentially purchase some jewelry. Naru's mother mentions taking in "youth energy", foreshadowing later events in VOL1. Usagi heads home, crumpling up her test and throwing it behind her on the way. The crumpled test paper hits a man behind Usagi, which prompts him to call her buns "bumps" and accuse her of trying to put bumps on his head as well. It's also worth noting that this mysterious stranger is in full tuxedo in the middle of the afternoon. Mystery man also mentions a "Legendary Silver Crystal". Usagi stops by a gaming centre before going home, choosing to play a Sailor V arcade game. The kitty from earlier walks into the game centre. Usagi loudly points out the crescent shaped " bald spot" on the cat's forehead, it stares at her, at which point Usagi decides to go home for the day. Her mother finds the low score on her test, scolds her, and then promptly kicks her out. Usagi's brother arrives home, scolds her as well, then closes the door on her. Usagi kicks the door, to which her mother let's her back in. Naru's mother has been collecting energy with energy-sapping crystals she sold, replacing the real one's and taking them for herself. Usagi falls asleep, has dreams of her in Sailor V's uniform doing heroic things, until she is woken up by the black cat from before. Turns out, the kitty talks, and her name is Luna. Luna gives Usagi a magical brooch, which transforms her into the Pretty Guardian: Sailor Moon! Usagi, now "Sailor Moon", gets visions of the trouble that Naru is currently in, which pushes her to save her best friend from an imposter pretending to be Naru's mother. Usagi defeats the monsters with the help of Luna and Tuxedo Mask. (A/N: Okay, helping is a little bit of a stretch in Tuxedo Mask's case, broseph was literally just lurking the whole time and said MAYBE like a sentence or something.) The next day, Naru relays what she remembers from those events to one of the girls from earlier, who totally doesn't believe a thing she's saying.

In All? : Usagi is a klutz and a dumbass and cats turn you into magical girls.
