Okay so I'm lit TWO days into my senior year, right?
Day one: It's pouring rain, I have to bring in my summer art portfolio from my car but I have to sprint from the school's parking lot to the front entrance which doesn't sound bad butttt the student parking lot is shoved off to the side and away so it doesn't get in the way of the busses.
I get inside. NINE GODDAMN CLASSES AND AN ASSEMBLY. Like dude I really just cannot be fucked, I do attend but I'm so dead by the end of the day. Find out I don't have any classes with my best friend (minus one in the morning) and we don't have lunch together either so I go to my counselor and ask about it and she says I have to wait. Which- fine I get it. There's like an add-drop grace period where we can't change anything.
I already spoke with her on changing my schedule beforehand and it still isn't changed because I have to take a certain amount of credits or something (even tho I have all of the credits I need to graduate already I'm fr just sticking around for theater club and for my friends). I get assigned homework in three classes but fortunately my new digi came in so I'm fine it's whatever.
Day two: I wake up with like the worst stomach ache ever so I take some meds for it and it fixes itself by like halfway through my day. Today was looking better, really it was. I had study hall in the new fancy media center and they have nice chairs and desks in there now (wish they had it a few years earlier but I'm not gonna shoot a gift horse in the mouth). Classes r actually doing work now so it's not as draining.
Actually I asked a teacher if I could listen to music and she said she was chill with it but we have a really strict no-phones or any device that could connect to the internet policy (gotta love American public school). I joked and said I should bring in an mp3 player (I want an IPod so bad, my sister got rid of hers) and she said that would be amazing. Then it spiraled into my table joking about bringing in cd-mans, then walkmans, then record players, then a phonograph.
I went to lunch after this class and promptly realized that like zero of my close friends were in it. I have like 8 friends that have been with me since middle school and beyond and there's only two lunches and yet nope we don't have lunches together either. I sat awkwardly at a table with two of my sort of friends but nobody spoke we kind of just made idle talk every once in awhile it sucked. The rest of my day was fine but ohhhh my god.
----
I'm going to my counselor tomorrow to swap my classes around AGAIN and I'll try to sit with my other friend groups and awkwardly insert myself into an area that I am not yet at a friendship level with at lunch but its fine. I've just gotta survive until Friday and then it's a three day weekend. I hope this isn't too ranty but yea
