So if you've been keeping up with the news lately, you know that French students have been protesting for better school conditions (we have 10+ hour school days, understaffed schools, stuff leik that), and my school hopped on the bandwagon.Β
Cool, right?
The police came up and threw tear gas bombs and firecrackers (the more painful kind) at students. I walk to school, so imagine my reaction when I get to school late and see a HUGE crowd of students running and climbing over the fences to get OUT of the school and the school sheep are STRESSED and running around (THE POOR SHEEP BRO :( ) and i see my friends crying from the tear gas.
I went The Fuck back home. I live like 5 minutes away from the school and can still see the police carsΒ 
I might be sending video proof, btw, not anything dox worthy but yeah its a true story so

Isn't there some sort of law against throwing tear gas and firecrackers at students? Surely there must be; you're minors at SCHOOL.Β
In America, where I live, this wouldn't fly at all.Β
I hope your friends at school and the protesters are okay now.
Unfortunately they use the excuse of "self defense" to do these things, and the government is on the police's side since they'd rather see kids die than use their money to do something about the education system

Bro, that's actually crazy. Things aren't much better here in the U.S., but at least the police know not to throw weapons at children most of the time!

I hope so too, I couldn't go to the entrance but I was on the sides of it, close to the entrance, you could hear people screaming and stuff I was freaked out
